Homemade Chocolate Pudding

RECIPE Homemade Chocolate Pudding

  • 1/2 c organic maple syrup + 2 TBSP

  • 1/2 c cocoa powder

  • 1/4 c corn starch

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 3 cups organic milk ( I like to use raw milk or whole milk)

  • 2 tbsp. butter

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  1. Start by adding your maple syrup, cocoa powder, corn starch, salt, and milk into a saucepan on medium heat. Stir until all the ingredients are incorporated together, it will be thick at first and then thin out as you stir.

  2. As the mixture gets hot it will start to thicken. Don’t let it boil. Keep to a simmer or low heat. Keep stirring so it doesn’t burn. After about 7-10 minutes it should be thick enough, remove from the heat and let cool

  3. Transfer to another bowl or pudding cups and store in the fridge for at least 2-4 hours before consuming. It will get thicker as it sits in the fridge so don’t worry. Make the whipping cream while you wait and add the top before eating, enjoy!

Homemade Whipping Cream:

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 c powdered monkfruit or 2 tbsp maple syrup

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Use organic ingredients when feasible
