Diy Antibacterial Ointment

DIY Antibacterial Ointment

Natural & Organic, With Essential Oils

When my 3-year-old fell in the bathtub a few weeks ago, she had to have 5 stitches at the bottom of her chin. I didn't have any ointment on hand at the time so I thought I would just make a DIY Antibacterial Ointment. This home remedy is so easy, it only calls for a few ingredients and just a small amount goes a long way! I know that this ointment will last a long time and now I have it on hand to for emergencies or to put it in my first aid kit when needed. All the ingredients are natural and organic, with some very healing essential oils that healed the wound in no time.

I was also worried that the wound would have a scar, but luckily, this ointment helps with that as well.

RECIPE
DIY Antibacterial Ointment

Ingredients

  • ½ c organic coconut oil

  • 5 TBSP beeswax

  • 1 ½ TBSP witch hazel

  • 10 drops lavender essential oils

  • 15 drops Melaleuca essential oils

  • 10 drops Frankincense  essential oils

  •

  •

Preparation

  1. Melt coconut oil and beeswax over a double boiler on medium/high heat.

  2. Transfer liquid to a high-speed blender and add witch hazel and essential oils. Blend for 20 seconds

  3. Pour mixture into a glass jar or container and use anytime you need to heal a cut or a scrape or have an open wound.

Tips

I like to make a double batch and put some in my first aid kit or you can divide the one batch in half and put half in your first aid kit for emergencies at all time.
