February 07, 2019
Ingredients
-
1 ¼ c baking soda
-
¼ c filtered water
-
7 drops lavender essential oil
-
10 drops eucalyptus essential oil
-
5 drops peppermint essential oil
-
Silicone baking molds or old muffin tins
-
a pinch of spirulina powder for color
Preparation
-
Add your baking soda to your mixing bowl, then slowly add your water. You may need to add more water, you want it to be the consistency of wet sand.
-
Add you're essential oils to the mix. Then scoop the mixture into your muffin tins. Firmly pat down the mixture so that it will set.
-
Let the mixture sit overnight so that it hardens. In the morning take out of your muffin tins
-
Place the shower steamer in the corner of your shower. Make sure that the water isn’t hitting it directly but that it’s getting hit with bits of water throughout your shower. As it gets hit with water the essential oils will diffuse and make a very nice aroma and help you feel relaxed like your at a spa.
For a more citrus scent use these oils
10 drops grapefruit essential oil
10 drops tangerine or orange essential oil
10 drops lemon essential oil
These aren't meant to be put in the bath, just the shower. They aren't fizzy like a bath bomb
This recipe makes 5 muffin tin size shower steamers or 12 mini muffins size shower steamers.
