DIY Foundation Powder

March 2, 2019

  • ¼ c + 1 TBSP arrowroot powder or cornstarch powder

  • ¾ tsp cacao or cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp ginger

  • 2 tsp Redmond Bentonite Clay

  1. Add all your ingredients to a glass jar and mix until combined

  2. For darker shades add more cacao or cocoa powder. For lighter shades add more ginger or arrowroot powder.

  3. Store in a glass jar at room temperature. Apply whenever you put on fountain make-up.

I have a very light and cool complexion so I made mine much lighter.  The biggest challenge you have to do with this recipe is to play a little bit to get the right shade or color for your skin.

I always start with the base which is your arrowroot or cornstarch powder, then add your cacao or cocoa with cinnamon  lightly, then add your ginger and bentonite clay. If you have it too dark add more starch and ginger, if you have it too light add more cinnamon or cacao powder.
