Buying your spices in bulk is going to be far more beneficial in the long run, they will last you a long time and are less expensive. That's why I always make my own blends of spices to have on hand when needed. They add flavor and depth to all of my dishes and can be easily re-made and re-mixed when I run out.
This recipe also is free of any added sugar, chemicals, preservatives or MSG that you would normally see in a grocery store taco seasoning packet. So you can rest assured that you are using clean ingredients to feed your family.
RECIPE Homemade Taco Seasoning
No added sugar, preservatives or MSG
½ c chili powder
¼ c onion powder
1 TBSP garlic powder
¼ c cumin
1 TBSP paprika
1 TBSP sea salt
Mix all spices together in a mason jar and use on any recipe that calls for a taco seasoning.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature. Use about 2 1/2 TBSP in recipes that call for a Taco Seasoning packet.
*Use organic ingredients when feasible
I like to make a double batch this and put it in a mason jar, it lasts me a long time and I’m using the best ingredients possible.
